Day 16: 11 year-old babies

I was in the car with both my parents. We were supposed to be heading to my aunt’s house for my grandma’s 80th birthday. After 10 minutes of waiting for my 11 year-old brother, we realized that was not going to come out. Why? No one knows why. That is, until both my parents went inside and I heard screaming. Then we knew the reason. My brother was having a preteen tantrum. He wanted to bring his computer to the family gathering even though he knew that he is not supposed to. The stubborn child that he is, he crawled under a couch and stayed there for three hours. I am just about to head to my aunt’s house when we were supposed to get there three hours ago. Thanks, bro.

So a reminder to preteens out there: don’t be unreasonable. You are wasting your time, and everybody else’s lives. I wanted to spend time with my family who live from different places. But because of my brother, I lost three hours that I could have used to spend with them. Sigh.
