Day 4: Penne Pesto

Image

The cafeteria food that my school offers is not the best, so many people (or should I say most) bring lunches from home. Last night, my family and I went to Dusal’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant. It is one of the regular places that my family goes to once every Sunday night a month. Every time I go there, I usually like to try something new. However, my by far favorites will always be Eggplant Parmigiana and Penne Pesto.

My mom ordered Penne Pesto at dinner last night, and guess who ate the leftovers for lunch? Me! I waited in line for ten minutes to heat my yummy pasta, which was actually pretty short, considering the normal length of fifteen minutes. Then, I sat down and enjoyed my delicious meal. Of course, I came home and had amazing spaghetti that my mom made. I should tell her to find a recipe for Penne Pesto and try to make that next time.

Tiffany, once I saw the picture at the top of your blog post, I had to keep reading, since pasta is my favorite food! Plus, I love talking about food in general. 🙂 You should really ask your mom to make penne pesto; my mom uses pesto in pasta and grilled vegetable sandwiches too- it makes the dishes a whole lot yummier. I love Eggplant Parmigiana- my mom makes it for lunch for me a lot. Usually we add our own homemade sauce to it :). That reminds me, I also love paninis and we make those at home too…well, as you can see, I am completely in love with Italian food. Brookdale should definitely start selling more delicious Italian lunches.
